Leaders Romans Group are looking for a new Litigation Manager to join us on a permanent basis based in our busy office in Becket House, Worthing.

In this Litigation Manager role, day to day you can expect to:

• Managing a small team of agents and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the debt recovery team.
• Undertake regular reviews of collections and recoveries strategies to optimize collection opportunities
• Identifying trends, areas for improvements to maximize collection performance and minimize bad debt across the business
• Be instrumental in achieving high team performance, by building knowledge, skills and capabilities of the team, through coaching and mentoring to achieve (financial) targets. Manage team & individual performance through regular team meetings and 1-2-1’s.
• Manage day to day relationships with external debt collection agencies, providing direction and guidance to ensure all collections activities are completed in line with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Target defining, setting and management to both internal and external stakeholders to include productivity and cash recovery targets
• Build excellent relationships to enable collaborative working with relevant stakeholders and other areas of the business
• Monitor the quality of customer communication (Written & Verbal) and develop actions to improve service standards and to enhance customer experience.
• Provide weekly and monthly performance reporting and statistics.

To be considered for this role, you will need the following experience and skills:

• Prior experience of managing a small team, preferably within debt recovery environment.
• You have a working understanding of the recovery and litigation processes in the UK
• Detail oriented and diligent
• Highly numerate with strong communications skills (written & verbal)
• Highly motivated and energized by the idea of bringing positive impact to our customers
• Capable of articulating findings in a clear and understandable way
• Confident dealing with senior stakeholders in the business
• Ability to work independently, self-motivate and work in a team
• Pragmatic - able to find the solution that balances accuracy with delivery
• Curious, with a proven ability to learn quickly, independently research and apply new tools, techniques and ideas as well as exploring different options
• Bold - Challenging ideas and processes even when they're the established orthodoxy, always looking for ways we can do better.
• You’ll be passionate about change and people leadership
• Professional qualification (CICM) preferred but not essential
• Knowledge of the property market
