In this Surveyor role, day to day you can expect to:

Manage Lease Renewals and Rent Reviews

• Ensuring that the business is in the right location, at the right rent, with the right level of flexibility.
• This will need technical knowledge along with tenacity and the ability to focus on the overall commercial deal.
• Ability to work with the business and our solicitors a necessity.

Portfolio Management

• Managing a proportion of the occupied estate. Ensuring that rents are paid in a timely manner and dealing with day-to-day repairs etc.
• Maintaining property records in an accurate fashion.
• Highlighting upcoming opportunities and risks to the business.
• Work with the acquisition team to undertake inspections of possible sites.
• Negotiate new leases where necessary. Mitigate risks on existing leases that we are taking over.

Acquisitions

• Work with the acquisition team to undertake inspections of possible sites.

Relocations

• Work with the business to find suitable premises for business relocations.
• Negotiation of new leases. Working with facilities to co-ordinate move timings.

Commercial Property Management

• Take responsibility for managing client’s commercial premises. This will include arrears chasing, data management, lease renewals and rent reviews.
• Assist in expanding the commercial management business 

To be considered for this role, you will need the following experience and skills:

Required Skills and Experience

• A recently qualified surveyor who is looking to take on a wide range of work but has a solid background in property management. 
• Must be able to read leases, measure retail units, collect comparable evidence and come up with a view on rent. 
• Will also need to be IT literate and able to communicate well with the business.
• This is a great role for someone looking to move out of consultancy and into an in house role. There is a large range of work and a chance contribute to a growing business.
• RICS Qualified
• Able to undertake RICS Condition reports (Homebuyers / Building Surveys)
• Experience of preparing Schedules of Condition

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30pm to 5:30pm
